The Carrera S is fitted with a 3.0 L twin-turbo flat-six engine that delivers 473 hp (an increase of 30 hp over its predecessor) and 390 lb-ft of torque.
It exclusively uses an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission—the manual option has been discontinued for this model.
Equipped with the Sport Chrono Package, the coupe sprints from 0–60 mph in as fast as 3.1 seconds—0.2 seconds quicker than the prior model—and can reach a top speed of 191 mph.
Car and Driver’s testing estimates even faster: 0–60 mph in 2.8–3.0 seconds, with a quarter-mile run in 11.0–11.2 seconds, and top speed around 191 mph.
